Our Mission
Our mission is simple, we want you to be as stoked on kiting as we are!
We focuse on our two locations in Jæren & Haukeli. We live, work, and play here.
We are part of the local community and by giving respect, we gain respect. We support the local scene.
We have been honing our courses with hundreds of students since 2001, with an excellent track record.
Our instructors are all core kiters that live and play in the waters and mountains where we operate.

We are not a shop trying to sell you this years model, or a brand trying to sell you an instagram lifestyle with a hashtag. We provide the tools to Experience Freedom, the rest is up to you.

- Kite Brand Sales Pitches
We believe playing in nature should be fun and free from pretentiousness.
WE ARE GENUINELY PASSIONATE
We do kite trips over Hardangervidda and downwinders across Jæren.
We rip storm waves, carve up mountains in blizzards, and glide over swells on hydrofoils.
We are a band of rebels in a sea of similars.
Our drive is the forces of nature, our ambition is to Fly Free under the open sky.

OUR STORY
Kitesurfing.no has been holding kite courses at Jæren since 2001 and was one of the first kite schools in Norway. Little by little, we have grown larger and in 2007 we started as the first kite school to hold snow kite courses at Haukeliseter.
Over the years we have had many good instructors on our team, but our core team consists of Tor-Erik, Tom, Martin, Marcus and Oskar, who all share a common passion for nature sports on snow and water.
Our business focuses primarily on course activities, which makes us very flexible. We tailor and organize our courses so that we can meet the needs and expectations of our customers while at the same time focus on what matters the most: Safety and fun!
CORE CREW
Martin
Boss of Kitesurfing.noMartin is the current Captain of Kitesurfing.no. Prefers to move sideways and to walk as little as possible. Religious relationship with board sports, on water or snow or asphalt. Father of two, he still gets out there chasing the biggest waves in Jæren and beyond. Latest obsession: Tow-in Foilsurfing.
Oskar
Oskar is a Swedish-imported outdoor nerd that takes life quietly. Based life on kiting, surfing, skiing, snowboarding, climbing and so on…
Tor-Erik
The founder of kitesurfing.no. Kiter and instructor since the Stone Age. Works as an IT-consultant next to the kite fun.
Marcus
Was lured on a snow course in 2007 and has never looked back. Works in his own company and travels around the world as often as possible.

Kristian er en ivrig wingfoiler og kiter fra Haugalandet som studerer Maskiningeniør på UiS og ellers bruker mye tid på brettsport til lands og vanns. Han er en del av den nye generasjonen med foil-entusiaster, og har deltatt på norgescup i wingfoil.

JOIN THE TEAM!
Do you love kiting and have been doing it for a few years?
Do you like being out in the elements, on the snow or at sea?
Are you patient, social, flexible and available?
Do you want the best part-time job in the world?
Then you can contact us! We are always looking for new kite instructors to join our family!
You must be available MINIMUM 1 weekend a month, during the Winter or Summer Season.
The following is desirable (but not a requirement):
- IKO Kite Instructor Certification (or similar)
- Class B Driver’s License
- Boat Driver’s license
- First Aid Licence
- Strong Presence in the Kite Community
- Own car
If you have no experience as an instructor, don´t despair, we offer onsite training!
We also conduct an annual safety exercise with our instructors at Haukeliseter in January every year.
